Title: Kefalonia Animal Trust
Post by: jeanskala on Saturday, 28 March, 2015 @ 14:23:00
Sheila would like to thank everyone who worked at and supported the KATs charity shop in Skala, the doors of which have now closed until next winter.

This Sunday (29th) sees the final KATs Book Sale at Aliti's Bar in Katelios, starting as usual, from 11am. So, at 4 euros for 4 books, this is your last chance to pick out books to read around the pool or on the beach this summer. DON'T FORGET TO FORWARD YOUR CLOCKS ON SATURDAY NIGHT!!  Thanks to Sharon and her 'assistant' Olga for providing us the venue, bar services and posh loos, and to remind you of the Thursday night quiz nights held at the bar during the summer, starting early May - the proceeds of the weekly Bonus Ball lottery going the the KATs charity. Full details to follow later.

KAT's final event for the winter will be a mini Bazaar, which we are holding at the Lighthouse Taverna, in Katelios, on Sunday 19th April, from 11am. If you have any household items (in good working order please), bric-a-brac, or are able to bake us a cake, buns or anything we can sell, please email me (jeanskala@hotmail.com).

Thanks again
Jean

Thanks to everyone who came and browsed, bought, chatted, supped and ate Carol's delicious hot-cross buns today! We look forward to seeing you all again next winter. Our final total including the proceeds of the Skala charity shop and book sales was nearly 3,000 euros.

If you run out of books, Sheila will be putting books into Hara Apartments (behind Efrosini) and Anemona (back loop road) with a collection box for donations. We'll let you know if there are other book swapping 'libraries' in the Katelios area during the summer.
