One of our kind supporters has entered a photo competition with a beautiful photograph of Savanna, which is 1 of approximately 350 dogs we have at ARK, and it closes on 30th September. They have put ARK forward for the prize of 5,000€ and at the moment it is in first place but have another seven days to go.
This winter is going to be one of the hardest yet trying to raise enough money to feed all the wonderful animals (apx 350 dogs & 40 cats) at Doris - ARK Animal Rescue Kefalonia. Please help us and vote - they will send an email to you for confirmation, which for your vote to count you’ll need to confirm with an email.

Well, may last less than a month.
If we win, it will also pay off the wonderful wholesalers who bring food even when they know they won't get paid for a while and medical costs.

Thank you everyone for voting for Savanna's photo, now we're just waiting for the results. Looks like we've done it but need to wait for the official confirmation
ARK is having a busy time at the moment, not only with the animals but also with things going on to raise funds and the Big Walk Kefalonia is the next one.
The Vice President of Doris-ARK Animal Rescue Kefalonia, Joyce Broekman, who also happens to work tirelessly seven days a week at ARK (8am - around 10pm), is some how finding some energy to take part in the Big Walk!! Her page for fundraising is https://www.ammado.com/community/179263

Dear people, I have received official confirmation! My photo won and this means ARK won EUR 5.000!!!!!
It is amazing. :) I am so happy for them and all the aninimals. The Panasonic Eneloop team let me know they will contact ARK itself to make the further arrangements.
I would like to thank each and everyone of you that helped by voting and or sharing my photo. So many people contributed. We won with I believe 900 more votes. Thank you all!!

Wish it could last the winter, but it'll go some way. We have a lot of medical expenses at the moment with kittens and a few badly injured dogs, so it's never ending trying to raise funds.
It is wonderful and unexpected and has given us a real lift - we are so lucky to have so many wonderfully kind and generous supporters.
