‘Seaside destinations will be incredibly popular’ this summer

As a hedge against the deep uncertainty, airlines are likely to push point-to-point trips to European summer destinations.

Planned flights to France, Greece and Portugal are down by less than 8% on pre-crisis 2019 levels, while Egypt and Tunisia are down by a quarter, according to flight data specialist OAG – although all are set to fall further.

Greece Toughens Restrictions For Take Away And Delivery Services

Greece has toughened restrictions for restaurants and cafes offering take-away and delivery options.

The new measures published in the official gazette on Tuesday note that no customers are allowed stay inside or outside these facilities.

Those who don’t follow the new measures, face fines of €3,000 for business and €300 for customers.

The new rules apply throughout the country, regardless of ‘red’ or ‘level’ zones.

Hm, latest I've heard on this: the two are Kefalonians by birth but reside in Athens area, the male in central Athens and the female in Piraeus  :hmm:

Covid-19: Greece to Re-open Restaurants, Sports Facilities Last

Greece is keeping its tough Covid-19 measures in place with plans to re-open restaurants and sports facilities last amid fears of rising cases and an increasing spread of virus variants, authorities said this week.

Deputy Civil Protection Minister Nikos Hardalias ruled out the possibility of re-opening restaurants, F&B services and sports facilities at the moment. He did say, however, that outdoor dining would likely come first “but it’s too early for this to happen, as a strategy is gradually being established related to vaccination and the development of the pandemic”.

Tourism Min: The Opening of Tourism Depends on Greece's Progress of Vaccination

Tourism Minister Haris Theoharis said that the entrepreneurs and employees in the tourism sector will continue to be supported by the government with emergency economic measures, while speaking to public broadcaster ERT on Wednesday.

On the opening of tourism in 2021, Theoharis underlined: "We have drawn up a plan on how tourism will open, to which is included a provision for the people working in tourism to be vaccinated as a priority. The plan of action will be examined by the experts and the opening of tourism will depend on the progress of vaccination in Greece".

Planned mains water supply disconnection to these streets in Lixouri between 07:30 - 13:30 tomorrow so that new pipework can be connected: Makariou, Five Heroes, Marinos Geroulanos, National Resistance Square, Grigoriou Lampraki. Work depends on weather conditions, so far looks like a foggy night but a decent day tomorrow.

Oh dear, looks like this electronic road sign has been hacked! It's on the way in to Burton from Swadlincote and the message displeased one Karen Banks, who expressed her displeasure on the Burton Life Facebook group and posted that she'd complained to the council. It didn't impress the hacker:

Slightly humorous but hacked road signs could be deadly.
