Truffle Hunting Begins in Meteora, Central Greece

TRIKALA, Greece – The annual truffle hunts organised by the Natural History Museum of Meteora and the Mushroom Museum will kick off on March 1, when the truffle hunting season opens.

The hunting season begins in March and ends in October and each “hunt” organised by the museum lasts approximately three hours.

Apart from organised groups, the hunting expeditions are also open to individual participants.

The Sun Newspaper posts fake news of corona virus in Greece

The Sun Newspaper online is reporting

“THE Corornavirus is tightening its grip on Europe as four more countries declare cases.

Greece, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia and mainland Spain have become the latest countries to be hit by the deadly virus.”

The actual report says:

“In Greece, two men suspected of having the virus were rushed to hospital in Athens."

According to the Sun, Greece has confirmed cases of Coronavirus but, latest I can find out, there's no confirmed cases in Greece (as yet).

Car pulled out of the sea at Agia Efimia port yesterday evening, apparently the 23 y-o foreign national responsible for it parked without putting the handbrake on. No injuries, other than financial.

Doesn't surprise me - if it gets to the stage where official advice is to 'self isolate' you still have to eat. Presumably?

Yes you do, but the sensible ones among us (me  :) simply order online, and tell the delivery man to leave it on the step, ring the bell, and please to bugger off! :)

Yes, having it delivered is an obvious step - for some. May not work too well if you live in a multi-tennant multi-storey. There might not be much left on your doorstep, if there was anything left to deliver. We may find that even people who normally have it delivered still panic buy in advance.

My brother's in Tenerife at the moment. Just made it over there before the Saharan sand storm, happily not confined to his hotel room.
