This is the moment when a man became contender for Ireland’s dumbest criminal as he knocked himself out with a brick while trying to smash a car window.
The ‘thick with a brick’ was found lying in a pool of his own blood by the car’s owner after it rebounced off the window and smashed into his own face.
“When I saw him, he was lying there stone cold on the ground and his face was in ribbons,” said Gerry Brady, owner of the Pheasant pub in Drogheda.
