Baby bunnies
« on: Sunday, 17 September, 2017 @ 01:06:21 »
Nice story from Venezuela, a country suffering economic misfortune to the extent its citizens are malnourished. The president announced a plan to feed the people by providing citizens with rabbits to breed and eat. Fifteen communities were given baby rabbits to feed up.

But...

...a lot of the people gave the bunnies names and bows to wear and took them to bed to cuddle.

Story on the BBC

That would be me! Once saw and heard a lady "Nobbling!" a bunny in the back streets of Poros I presume for their tea. She had a most satisfying grin on her face. Needless to say I wasn't grinning! Put  me off rabbit for ages.

When we were in a taverna in Katelios one evening last year a woman on a nearby table was complaining that there weren't enough veggie options on the menu.  So she ordered the rabbit stifado (!) then complained about not having enough meat!
