Sifitas have just taken delivery of car first aid kits, warning triangles and fluorescent sleeveless tops after the police have been fining motorists in recent days for non possession.

It will be interesting to note if all the hire cars are so equipped.

What exactly do we legally need to carry in the vehicle?

Based on police tickets here recently - definitely a first aid kit (date stamped and in date) and a fluorescent jacket (sleeveless is fine). Have just asked someone who definitely knows if it is one jacket or two, plus about red warning triangle and small fire extinguisher...watch this space......

I'm told all of these things (one jacket, not two) plus a spare tyre (some cars come without nowadays?) and a torch? Please form a double queue to sue me.......
