This looks a really nice job. What a pity the guys who did the block work on the bridge aren't doing the block work on Skala Highstreet!

Does that mean it's now straightened out?

Maybe being a bit picky here but would have thought a darker colour block, in keeping with the rest of the bridge, would have looked better. On the other hand at least it's being done.

Must be the most boring job ever, even if the view is fairly pleasant.  At least it's a job... in Greece.  And the bridge looks pretty sturdy.  Shame you can't still drive over it... or can you?!

Yes, looks good now. It's a pity that having walked across from the Argostoli end there isn't somewhere to get a drink/snack. Or is there? I seem to remember that there was a small taverna opposite the Waterworld site. Does anyone know if it is still there?

We've walked all the way around the lagoon, quite a pleasant walk. Mind you, we wuz younger then and it probably wasn't June/July/August. Trick might be to start t'other end and walk into town, then there'd be places to get refreshments.

A few more piccies, taken today. Looked like the barriers were coming down Argostoli end... wonder if they'll make vehicular crossing impossible

Over the bridge and up the road a little way is the Yacht cafe. Sell coffees tea cakes and sandwiches. Vwery reasonably priced too.
Always look on the bright side of life.

Have to say it looks quite attractive for a gentle stroll!  Definitely an improvement except for peeps who want to drive over.

Such a beautiful historic bridge and iconic destination for tourists. I truly hope it does not get ruined by graffiti and malicious damage.
