MISSING DOG

"Platanas " went missing today at 12 noon on the road from VIPE up to Lassi near to the Avin garage.
He jumped out of the car and was hit by a bus and then ran off towards the Lassi/ Spilia junction.
Unfortunately there have been no definate sightings of him and we are desperate to find him as he could be injured.
He is a very large dog, golden in colour and very friendly.

Please call Hayley on 6959598737 or Janet on 6976275884.
You can also contact Kefalonia Animal Trust through their Facebook page if you have any information regarding his whereabouts.
Thank you

That's good news - must have been an awful experience both for the owners and for the dog.

I am so pleased he's home.  But maybe they could keep the car window up a bit more in future?

Sorry, I didn't ready the full story before commenting.

Now know the facts. An awful day all round for his owners with two accidents, but now he's home and I imagine being spoiled rotten.

Couldn't put this on straightaway, but phoned to have it announced on Kefalonia Animal Trust.
Yes he's been found and is absolutely fine, he was clearly relieved to be reunited with his owner.
He had returned to the area where he went missing and was curled up in a locked propertys garden!

He was in the back of the car and the window was up sufficiently, but unfortunately he jumped out through the drivers window.
As you can imagine in these temperatures it is very uncomfortable to drive around with the windows almost closed and the owner has no air-con in the car.
The owner had already ordered a dog seat belt from the UK before this happened.

Thanks to everyone who accepted leaflets from us last night and expressed concern and promised to help.

Great news. A happy weekend for all concerned. Let's hope he doesn't turn into a pampered pooch !

Great to hear the happy ending after such a traumatic incident.

Lovely looking dog.... possibly slightly lacking in the brains department??!!  ;) (<- cat!)

I really hope he turns into a pampered pooch, he is adorable, well trained, obviously saw something from the car window that made him act out of character, have a happy life little man
