Title: TotalAV scam
Post by: Maik on Monday, 13 May, 2019 @ 03:44:21
It's getting pushed on sites such as Facebook and recommended by numpties. And 'influencers' who get paid to plug whatever shite comes their way. Here's an honest review by someone who didn't take their money: New AV player on the market: TotalAV (beware) (https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15136).

TotalAV is pretty much identical to two other scam softwares, ScanGuard and PCProtect, as you can see in this post on the Malwarebytes forum (https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/242780-totalav-registered-as-pup/?do=findComment&comment=1299361). Detailed thread re ScanGuard at bleepingcomputer.com (https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/628976/suspect-scangaurd-security-suite/).
