Haven't got all the details but heard seven 'shop keepers' in Elios-Pronnoi (Skala-Poros-Katelios area) have been arrested over the past 24 hours for "illegal occupation of the foreshore" - I'm guessing it might have something to do with taverna 'kioskis' :dunno:

Greek MPs set to lower voting age, abolish bonus seats
Greece's lawmakers were poised to revamp the electoral law and abolish a system of bonus seats on Thursday, in a move authorities say will better reflect public opinion in the crisis-hit nation.
At present, a bonus of 50 seats is offered to the party that wins the most votes in a national election, irrespective of how thin or wide the margin of victory is.
The law also lowers the voting age by a year to 17, a move the Interior Ministry says will 'sharpen democratic reflexes' among youngsters.
The vote is expected to take place late in the evening.

Japan 'to stop making VCR machines'
Production of the last videocassette recorder (VCR) to be made in Japan will cease by the end of the month, according to the Nikkei newspaper.
Funai Electric has been producing VHS-playing VCRs for 33 years, most recently in China for Sanyo.
But last year it sold just 750,000 units, down from a peak of 15 million a year, and has been finding it difficult to source the necessary parts.
VCRs were introduced in the 1970s but were superseded by DVD technology.
Last year, Sony announced it would stop selling Betamax video cassettes - a rival to the VHS. VCRs were required to play or record such tapes.
It was 12 years ago that UK High Street retailer Dixons decided to phase out the sale of VCRs due to the popularity of DVD players.

Bournemouth were gifted a fortunate goal in their pre-season match against USA club side Minnesota United.

Had a quick look on youtube and this guy really isn't the greatest goalie of all time. Here's some howlers from 2014 when he was with Fethiyespor ...

To be fair, he can stop them as well:

I am pretty sure this concerns the numerous sunbeds that have appeared at each taverna. Two police officers and two officials were measuring how much space they were using. More fines for some owners!

I'm always mislaying my warships and helicopters. It's just so annoying. They're just like the scissors. You put put them down for a second and then the next minute they're gone...
