From blue and white to the colours of the rainbow: Greece’s new tourism campaign embraces LGBTQI diversityVisit Greece, the official website of the Greek national tourism organisation (EOT), introduced a new section promoting Greece as a prominent LGBTQI-friendly destination.The April Visit Greece newsletter titled ‘With the colours of the rainbow’, boasts content promoting Athens as a city “colourful, welcoming and alive” and Thessaloniki as “Open to all”.Among the most popular destinations for the LGBTQI community is Mykonos, hailed as the “queen of gay nightlife”. However, its appeal extends beyond partying, offering serene coastal retreats and relaxation options.Other equally enticing destinations on Visit Greece include Lesvos and more specifically the town of Eresos. Santorini, Skiathos, Corfu, and Crete are also highlighted, each offering their unique charm and welcoming atmosphere.
