Coronavirus: New guidance on face masks and coverings released for England
Full guidance on wearing face coverings in shops in England has been released, less than 12 hours before the new rules come into force.
Coverings will be mandatory in enclosed public spaces including supermarkets, indoor shopping centres, transport hubs, banks and post offices.
They must also be worn when buying takeaway food and drink, although they can be removed in a seating area.
Those who break the rules could face a fine of up to £100

Supermarkets refuse to enforce face mask rules
Sainsbury's and Asda say it is not their responsibility to police customers
Major supermarkets and coffee chains say they will not enforce new rules which say customers should wear face coverings from Friday.
Sainsburys, Asda, Co-op and Costa Coffee are among retailers saying they have no intention of policing the laws, which carry a penalty of a £100 fine.
It comes after the Police Federation of England and Wales, which represents rank-and-file officers, said it was "unrealistic and unfair" to expect them to patrol the aisles looking for people breaking the coronavirus regulations.

UK imposes 14-day quarantine on holidaymakers returning from Spain
Move comes as blow to travel corridor scheme, as Spain reports surge in Covid-19 cases
The UK will impose restrictions on holidaymakers returning from Spain on Saturday in a bid to curb the surge in coronavirus infection, the government has confirmed.
The decision means those coming back from Spain will have to self-isolate for two weeks upon their return.
The move, a blow to the government’s controversial travel corridor scheme, followed a dramatic increase in the deadly virus in Spain which has seen nearly 1,000 infections reported over two days.
Ministers are set to remove Spain from the government’s list of safe countries to travel to after the country saw a rise in Covid-19 cases, from midnight.
In a twist, Grant Shapps, the transport secretary, who has been instrumental in drawing up the air corridor plans, was understood to be already holidaying in Spain, or to be in the process of travelling there.
