IKEA online weddings

Ikea is now hosting online weddings using webcams

Ikea launched a service last week called Wedding Online that allows couples to hold a virtual ceremony attended by a few of their closest friends — as well as the rest of the internet. Ikea will digitally transpose the ceremony into a dreamy location, but the ceremony isn't quite as romantic as an IRL event: everyone involved is just staring into a webcam that puts their face on top of someone else's body. You can get dressed up in a gown and tux, if you really want to, but no one's going to notice.

I thought it was going to be a flat pack wedding, but I am pleased to see there is no need to go through the usual IKEA shopping experience  :)

I thought it might be:
1. Grab an IKEA pencil
2. Fill in an order form for appropriate wedding wear and gifts
3. Pick up smaller items whilst negotiating the tortuous route through the displays
4. Collect other smaller items in the Market Place
5. Pick up bulkier items in the warehouse.
6. Queue up at the pay desk.
7. Pay for everything and get directions to their off-site warehouse for really bulky items.
8. Drive to off-site warehouse to collect bulky items ........ e.g. Priest or Registrar
9. Find nearest pub/cafe/bar to recover before clicking on HOME on the  Satnav.

Phew, I'm not really tempted  :yiamas:
