Er... this was in Fox News so it was probably a pinko socialist cat, and being a Himalayan undoubtedly an immigrant.  Actually a "himmie" is a bi-coloured Persian, usually very mild mannered cat.  However I have posted here before about our late lamented Tommy a blue and white Persian who had slightly psychopathic tendencies, but was my best mate.  The only cat we had that just went straight on the attack was a temporary rescue resident mother cat with small kittens, which we put down to over-protectiveness.

And kicking it might not be a good idea at all.   :nein:

Dunno about a pinko socialist cat, Tony - this one looks like a good, middle-class cat - it's even wearing a blue tie:

Pet cat puts three family members in hospital after launching frenzied attack

In what almost seems like a sequel to Bad Cattitude One, which hit Portland last month when a 22-pound cat carried out a crazed attack, Bad Cattitude Strikes Again has seen another feline unleashing its claws.

Unlike the Portland based cat however, this one - named Khat - did not have a ‘history of violence’ and launched into the frenzy seemingly at random.

Rubbish vid.  No pic of the cat or the people - only the local fire chief.   :btd: Who said they had they had "lured the cat into a cage with a pole" - which might explain why it went for his boot.  And making the cat wear a collar and tie might have something to do with the original outburst.

The cat might also having been suffering from severe thirst if this is the same Portland where they dumped 38 million gallons of water after some kid peed in it.  http://goinggreek.info/index.php?topic=433
