Flights to Rhodes cancelled as British tourists flee wildfire

British tour company TUI has cancelled all flights to Rhodes as wildfires forced thousands of tourists to sleep in schools or stadiums amid the largest evacuation ever undertaken in Greece.

TUI said that flights and holidays would be cancelled for at least the next three days.

Budget airline Jet2 said it was cancelling all flights departing for Rhodes on Sunday. It will fly the planes out to Rhodes, without passengers, to pick up fleeing tourists.
