Pigs ‘ate each other alive’ at UK farm classed as high quality
Activist brands scenes ‘some of the worst neglect and abuse I have ever witnessed in my life’

Tuesday Goti, one activist, said the experience was “absolutely harrowing”. She told Metro.co.uk: “One of the pigs actually had a hole in both of her sides and she was being cannibalised.

“They were eating her while she was alive. She didn’t even have the strength to scream. She was just softly whimpering and there was nothing we could do but watch that.”

Range Rover smashed into six cars then drove out of gym car park

A Range Rover driver smashed up four cars and damaged two others in a gym car park before driving off.

Onlookers were left ‘shocked’ by the incident at 24/7 Fitness in Garston, Liverpool on Thursday morning.

Dramatic pictures show the aftermath of the crash, with two people’s car bumpers completely ripped off and huge dents in other vehicles.

Some of the vehicles appeared to be written off.

The motorist, believed to be in her early to mid-20s, is said to have returned with her father after leaving the scene.

She admitted she was responsible before giving her details to a car owner.

Greece’s highway code to be toughened up

Among the changes under consideration is to make it mandatory for drivers to use snow tires instead of snow chains during the months of the year when the weather deteriorates.

Spectacular Annual Chios Rocket War Under Threat as Organizers Fold

The organization which keeps alive the 200-year-old custom of the “Rocket War” on the Greek island of Chios announced on Thursday it is closing up shop for good.

The organization “Friends of Vrontados Traditions” said in a statement that it is ceasing operations since it was unable to form a new board of management due to a dearth of candidates.

“We are really sorry for this decision but reality has shown that good intentions are not enough to support the tradition. The cost is high and moral support is minimal,” the organization stated in its release.

The pyrotechnic extravaganza, which attracts thousands of tourists every year, involves two opposing parishes in the village of Vrontados spending the eve of Orthodox Easter Sunday firing thousands of homemade rockets at each other’s church — while the more pious local people attend the Easter Vigil service inside.
