Seems as though the fire in Karavados has re-ignited and there's also a fire in the Aleimatas/Pastra area, started around the same time.

Firefighters going hi-tech: Greek police and fire brigade acquired a few surveillance drones back in May and, according to local sources, one of the Threod Systems EOS mini UAV drones will be operating in the skies above Kef for the next few days. Here's one in action:

The high tech look lost a little with the use of the elastic bands to secure bolt on parts and the credit card to re-pack the 'chute.

Should be helpful with all the fires on Kef lately - and elsewhere.

Yeah, I was surprised the promo video showed the 'chute being re-packed with the aid of a credit card, thought it made the drone look a bit unfinished, design-wise. But maybe the message is, "No expensive special tools required".

Hopefully it might be good for spotting someone starting fires.

More fires in the Livatho area last night, mostly around Trapezaki, Karavados and Peratata.
