Tourism prepares for
 season like no other

Greece’s tourism industry hopes that overseas lockdowns will continue to ease and flights can begin to pick up shortly.

The government is focusing its efforts on attracting European visitors, and counting on Greece’s success so far in containing the epidemic to reassure visitors that they will be safe.

“This season is not going to be like the other years,” Tourism Minister Haris Theoharis told Reuters.

“I’d be a fool to believe this could ever be the case.”

Of the 700,000 who worked in the sector last year, many may never get their jobs back.

Coronavirus: The ski resort saving snow for next season

In the Finnish resort of Levi, 150kms (93 miles) north of the Arctic Circle, the ski season normally goes into May. This year, that was cut short when they had to close in March because of Covid-19, despite having the best snowfall in living memory.

Locals have decided they must do something to help themselves next season – so the resort is using special fabric to wrap up the snow and save it for next season.

Foreign holiday season likely to be cancelled, says minister

Many British people are unlikely to be able to take foreign holidays this summer because of the virus, Health Secretary Matt Hancock has said.

In another blow to airlines and ferry firms, he told ITV's This Morning it's "likely to be the case" there won't be a normal summer holiday season.

The government is opening up parts of the economy, and Ryanair is planning to start services in July.

But Mr Hancock said the traditional big-break holiday season is unlikely.

This is a few weeks old now but I didn't spot it in the UK media:

Man busted in Spain for taking goldfish for a walk during lockdown

A man was busted for breaking Spain’s strict coronavirus lockdown by taking his goldfish out for a walk, police said Friday.

The unidentified pet owner was spotted sitting on a bench, with his finned friend inside a bowl, in Logroño, northern Spain.

He appeared to be trying to take advantage of a rule allowing people to take their pets out to relieve themselves.

Thunderspy attack: How to protect your Mac, Windows or Linux computer from hackers

Requires the attacker to have physical access to your device (PC / laptop / whatever), most people probably don't need to be concerned about it.
