SUMMER SAVINGS The holiday companies already selling cheap holidays for 2021

HOLIDAYMAKERS dreaming of their next trip abroad can already get booking, with a number of tour operators offering deals for 2021.

Experts are conflicted as to when holidays are likely to resume - some claim that they will start again this autumn, while others think it won't be until 2021.

However tour operators are offering trips for next year for holidaymakers wanting something to look forward to in 2021.

Not only that, but package holidays are ATOL-protected, meaning even if they don't go ahead, you will get a full refund.

Shopping with tongs and keeping cats inside among ways to beat coronavirus after lockdown, study says

Preventing pet cats from roaming outdoors, making shoppers pick up products with tongs and telling people to walk clockwise around parks are among 275 suggestions made by Cambridge University for reducing the spread of coronavirus after the lockdown.

The team suggests cafe owners could open outdoor areas only at first, and that pedestrians should be urged to walk on the right side of the pavement and only allowed to enter parks at specific times of day depending on their age.

Greek State to Subsidize Ferry Routes to Islands To Keep Connection Alive

Greece’s Ministries of Shipping, Finance, and Growth announced recently that the state will subsidize all ferry connections between the country’s mainland and its islands, in order to keep the minimum amount of cohesion across the country, despite the coronavirus lockdown.

This means that all ferry connections between the Aegean islands and the mainland will continue to operate, no matter how few the number of passengers the vessels may have.

The state will be paying €30,000 a day to every ferry company to continue operating along their normal routes.

Islanders make up approximately fifteen percent of the total population of Greece.
