No new cases of coronavirus on Kefalonia confirmed today by EODY but seems the covid ward in Argostoli Hospital is full with eleven patients, any new cases requiring hospital treatment will be transferred to a hospital off Kefalonia.

Summer holidays 2021: which countries will be on the green traffic light system list?
It looks likely that foreign holidays this summer will be subject to a traffic light system. Here’s what we know so far about post-lockdown travel...

As the days get longer and skies get bluer, we’ve probably all caught ourselves fantasising about a summer holiday (or two) in recent weeks.

Last night, Boris Johnson offered us a glimmer of hope by announcing he wants to “get the country flying again”. The Prime Minister added he was “hopeful” that getaways would be possible to a limited number of destinations from May 17.

Confirmation of the restart date will only come nearer the time, and where we can go will depend on a risk-based “traffic light” system with red, amber and green ratings for countries around the world.

That means some of our favourite destinations with high case numbers could remain restricted, and the PM warned that some of the places that “people might want to go” won’t be possible.

Three popular destinations, Spain, Greece and Turkey, will likely be on the amber list, which means travellers will need to self-isolate at home for two weeks.
