Luxury yacht sank after fire in Greek waters

Early in the morning Sep 9 luxury yacht KOI reported fire on board, requested assistance, in Greek waters between Kefalonia and Zakynthos islands, Ionian sea, said Greek Coast Guard. Seven KOI crew left burning and sinking yacht, going into boat or life raft, all were rescued by fishing vessel and transported to Agios Nikolais port, northern Zakynthos. Yacht sank, so far no leak reported, area is monitored for possible pollution.

Lot of money gone up in smoke / gone down to sleep with the fishes: I see from the bluewater link the hire price was from 75,000€ / week

Well, surrounded by water but the boat burns. Insurance company might find it a bit fishy  ;)
