The first Greek Internet Cat Video Festival is scheduled to be held on Sunday, February 2, at the Six D.o.g.s venue in Athens, Greece. The event which is co-organized by the NGO Nine Lives Greece and the Walker Art Center in the U.S., will be hosted by MTV Greece’s video jockey Jenny Theona, who is widely known for her love of cats.

The festival, which kicks off World Spay Month, aims to raise awareness of the importance of sterilizing stray and domestic animals, so as to contain their population and improve their health and quality of life.

Any event like this can only be a positive thing, not only the stray cats and dogs but also Greek 'pets' or 'working' animals. Good luck Nine Lives and thank you for arranging our recent vet visit, who neutered 50 cats in three days.
