Europe's oldest officially dated tree has been uncovered in Greece, and despite living more than a millennium (and counting!), it doesn't look a day over 200.

The venerable tree lives within a pristine forest of ancient pines that are nearly as old, the researchers said.

After taking what may be considered a long taxi ride from Agia Pelagia Hotel in Crete to the Airport in Heraklion, two German tourists refused to pay their taxi driver with the excuse that “Greece owes Germany money.”

Of course, life doesn’t really work that way and the German tourists were literally trying to get a free ride, which the taxi driver wasn’t about to let happen.

Thousands of travellers face a £25 charge to make a complaint about their airline.

The new fee is part of a move by the Civil Aviation Authority to shift the workload of dealing with complaints to three alternative dispute resolution bodies (ADRs), two of which will charge for their services.

The UK’s flag carrier British Airways, plus easyJet, Thomson and Thomas Cook have all signed with the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution, which charges complaining passengers a £25 fee. The cost is refunded in the event of a successful claim.
