Title: Kefalonia in The Top Ten!
Post by: Mediterranean Man on Saturday, 09 April, 2016 @ 17:12:22
An interesting article about bargain holidays for the Summer of 2016.
Kefalonia ranks No 10.

Prices look reasonably accurate, I'd think, but... does a beer in a bar/taverna cost 4€ these days!?!

I'll stick with the wine, usually better value to buy a μισό κιλό (or two!) than buy it by the glass

I agree, Maik, the beer price looks a bit on the high side but with the way the £ I falling it is probably not  far off.

Quite!  And it all depends on where you buy that beer.  Probably about €4.00 but we know an establishment where a genuinely big beer can be had in ice cold, condensation dripping glasses for only €2.50.

you willing to spill the gigantes Tony?
or, in the spirit of No Advertising, give some clues decipherable only by the returnivista perhaps?

It's not by the sea but it used to have glass topped tables inside which were real sea shells and sand.  It's not by the sea but if you were facing the sea it would be on your left.  It's not on a road, but if you were on the road it would be on your right.    I can say this with gleefulness!

 ;)

Where the Rolling Stones might be heard singing Paint It Black, but the House Doctor would recommend nearer to white, perhaps?
