Colleywobble:
In 22yrs visiting only experienced 2 quakes of any significance. One that was high and loud enough to wake us up.
Mostly they happen and you are not aware. Hubbie once fell off the road edge and felt dizzy but I  think it was the HEAT!!!

 :welcome:

We had one while on holiday in Katelios one September ? 2-3 years ago which was fairly noticeable.  It was early one evening so thought it might have been the G & T's !

The Ionian is on some geological faultline, but as Maik says we never feel most of them.  He just likes to remind us!

We were there for that one! Sitting outside Nemesis on the front. Even Denise looked apprehensive.

Misty:
We were in Katelios too that year, sitting in Cozy Bar bar near roadside felt the earth move then Peter the owner ran outside into the street.

Jolly Roger:
As Maik says, there are small ones fairly regularly. The biggest in recent years was January/February 2014, when there were two big ones of more than 6.0. Over a three week period, there were many aftershocks, on average every 20 minutes. In some parts of the World this would cause major damage and loss of life, but with strong building regulations in Greece, the effect is mitigated and there was no loss of life.
At the time, we took the precaution to have a bag of clothes and other essentials outside the house, just in case!

HiFi:
Accordingly the schools here don't have fire drills but earthquake drills......
