Cat Neutering
« on: Monday, 13 January, 2014 @ 11:25:28 »
Another great cat neutering thanks to English vet, Tristam and the Nine Lives charity. in 4 days a total of 59 cats were neutered - 28 females and 21 males in the Elios area, together with 8 females and 2 males in Fiskardo, plus an extra 6 females and 3 males in Fiskardo done at the same time by one of our island vets, Spiridoula, 70 cats in total. :btu:

Thanks to all the helpers, catchers, shavers, dinner and lunch providers etc. Hard work but a job very well done.  :yahoo:

It was hard work rounding up cats, keeping them warm to recover and then releasing them where they came from. 42 females represents hundreds of unwanted kittens saved from being born over coming years. Everyone deserves a rest now!    :btu:

Saddening to see stray kittens facing an uncertain future so well done to Tristam, the Nine Lives charity and all those on Kef who organised this and helped out :btu:

Tremendous job.  Well done - neutering makes such a difference to making the rescue work just that little bit easier.   :btu:
