GSEE: A 24-hour general strike on April 17 across Greece

At the heart of the claims are wage increases, immediate action to tackle punctuality, a crackdown on profiteering and the reinstatement of Collective Bargaining Agreements

A decision for a 24-hour general strike on April 17, 2024, was decided by the General Council of the General Confederation of Workers of Greece, which met on January 27, 2024.
https://greekcitytimes.com/2024/01/28/gsee-a-24-hour-general-strike-on-april-17-across-greece/

Quite possible other unions, such as ADEDY and PNO, will join the strike on 17 April.

Probably won't have a big impact on Kef although schools may be affected.

From what I can make out, this is the union for regional officials employees and they are calling for members to:

08/02/24 protest outside regional government buildings
15/02/24 strike from 11:00 to end of shift
28/02/24 24 hour strike

Probably won't cause any major disruptions on Kef.

Edit: "officials" amended to "employees".

Vets call strike over mandatory sterilization

Vets throughout Greece have called a 24-hour strike for Wednesday, in protest against the mandatory sterilization of pets.

The Panhellenic Veterinary Association considers the measure unscientific and ineffective and has expressed concerns about possible negative effects on the health and welfare of animals.

However, an umbrella representing 66 animal welfare organizations said that “animal lovers say ‘yes’ to sterilization” and urged vets to “help us to change the bleak situation of strays in Greece.”

In 2021, breeders told the Guardian that mandatory sterilization could bring about the end of pedigrees that have existed in Greece since ancient times.
