Title: Vintage news
Post by: Maik on Thursday, 08 March, 2018 @ 14:21:17
This article on protothema.gr caught my eye:

In Ancient Greece, prostitutes wore special sandals that printed a message in the ground reading, “Follow me” (http://en.protothema.gr/in-ancient-greece-prostitutes-wore-special-sandals-that-printed-a-message-in-the-ground-reading-follow-me/)

It's credited to Vintage News, where there's quite a lot to read, such as

In 16th century Constantinople, not providing your wife with enough coffee was grounds for divorce (https://www.thevintagenews.com/2018/03/08/coffee-16th-century/)

and

People used magic to get out of Roman toilets alive and other revelations about daily life in ancient world (https://www.thevintagenews.com/2018/03/08/wacko-facts-ancient-rome-2-2/)

Might come across as a 'satirical' (i.e. fake news) site but seems the stories are basically factual. Possibly worth a look if you've got some time on your hands: thevintagenews.com (https://www.thevintagenews.com)

Quite interesting the couple of articles that I read. Have bookmarked it to dip into later on.
