The Greek island of Cephalonia suffered a major earthquake, of a magnitude of 5.8 on the Richter scale, followed by a dozen aftershocks, in January and February 2014. The earthquake left some 3,000 people homeless.

The EUSF was set up in 2002 to help EU member states and countries preparing to join the EU that are hit by natural disasters.

"3000 homeless" on Kef.  Was it really that many given the winter population of the island?

Temporarily, maybe. If I recall correctly, most of the properties surveyed had only minor damage that was repairable. Nearer 3,000 aftershocks rather than a dozen.

And they put in the cheapest bill - should have claimed for 10 times that......
