I have Advanced System Care (free) installed on my computer, which I find useful for an occasional clean up. While doing an update of this program, it must have downloaded a free Driver Updater. This says that all my drivers are very old, but I am concerned about allowing it to do an update. If everything is working ok, would the best option be to leave well alone?

ps - if your Advance System Care is from iobit, expect it to install other bits and pieces without your knowledge. Iobit's MO I'm afraid.

Yep. If it goes bad the time and hassle will be a real PITA. Seem to recall that on XP driver updates were available via Windows Update, think that's the only way I ever updated mine. They were optional, could be found listed in the available updates section. Can't remember any more detail but here's some info from MS (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/update-drivers-recommended-links#update-drivers-recommended-links=windows-7) - select Windows version from drop-down box, top right. Looks like you can set W7 to automatically update drivers, or check for updates manually. Appears to me Windows 10 upgrades your drivers automatically, want them or not.
Disclaimer: I'm not a fan of IObit / registry cleaners in general / programs that sneak other programs on uninvited. JMO.

Thanks for that guys. In fact you just confirmed what I had already decided and I have uninstalled it now. I have been using Advanced System Care for quite a few years and it hadn't downloaded anything I didn't want - until now!
