Protesters attack EU asylum offices on Greece's Lesbos
Asylum-seekers attacked the premises of the European Asylum Support Office (EASO) on the island of Lesbos on Monday, protesting against delays in dealing with asylum claims, Greek and EU authorities said.
About 70 people, most from Pakistan and Bangladesh, threw rocks and burning blankets at EASO containers inside the Moria migrant camp, damaging three of those, a Greek police spokesman for the island said.

ELSTAT: 230,000 children facing extreme poverty in Greece
More than 4,512,000 Greeks are facing poverty, with children being especially vulnerable, as 230,744 live in households with no income.
According to the ELSTAT study published by the Imerisia newspapers, about 39.9% of the country’s population is deprived of essential goods and services, such as food and heating, with the rate increasing to 44.5% for those aged 0-17 years old.
About one in six households live in unsuitable buildings with leaks, humidity and other problems.

Apparently Sami coast guard detained it in port yesterday morning following an electrical problem with the anchor operation. Three passengers heading across to Ithaka were provided with alternate transport by the ferry company.

Brexit Britain: Microsoft hikes U.K. prices by 22%
The U.S. tech firm said Monday that it will raise prices in Britain by a whopping 22% because of a steep drop in the value of the pound.
