Fire season finishes end of October, if I recall rightly. Pilots probably like to get in as much flying as they can, while they can. Probably worse things to be doing with your time than low level flying over Kefalonia...

We have had some rain during October, but not enough, so there is still a substantial fire risk. If this continues, it could be a temperature record for October as well.

Bonfires being had by naughty people prior to November 1st. Can't remember fire planes still being on the island in the second half of October?
