Don't mention the... Election
« on: Wednesday, 06 May, 2015 @ 20:19:57 »
Unlike in the Greek election in January the UK election has had barely a mention here.  Possibly GGi-ers are not that interested or we keep an unwritten rule that by and large we keep party political differences between ourselves off the board in order either to have a politics free zone in our lives (no bad thing!) or to avoid serious fallings out (also no bad thing).

The Beeb has tracked how people feel about the election campaign at the beginning and now:

So perhaps GGi reflects the mood of Britain rather well!

Katie Hopkins?  Didn't she sing "Those Were The Days" about a million years ago?

I hadn't seen that.  Maybe if it had been better known a lot of people would have decided she was scarier than the SNP and voted Labour!  ;)

Nah, that was the former Irish president, Mary McAleese.  She also sang All Kinds of Everything at the Borovision song contest.

I knew I'd heard of her but I don't know why anyone could give a stuff about her opinions.  I prefer that SNP person that used to be a DS on Taggart.
