TUI announces seven more Spain & Greece destinations as holidays resume - plus COVID cover
TUI HOLIDAYS have been sorely missed by British travellers during the coronavirus pandemic but today foreign holidays to a number of countries have made a triumphant return. TUI flights will resume to seven further destinations later this month.

TUI is a very popular travel brand among British holidayers and the restoration of holidays abroad as travel restrictions ease has been welcomed by many. As TUI flights return to the skies, the holiday company has announced its new coronavirus cover today. This is intended to provide added protection to TUI holidaymakers and give them complete peace of mind while on holiday.

It should be noted that jet-setters are still encouraged to purchase travel insurance when they book their trip, as the TUI COVID-19 cover is to be used alongside a holiday insurance policy.

The new cover will be included for all customers travelling on any TUI holiday between July 11 and December 31 2020 and applies to all new and existing bookings.

Costs and medical help will be provided with the cover.

There will also be overseas medical assistance if a customer contracts COVID-19 while abroad.

Also covered are costs associated with an extended stay and a new return flight home if customers are asked to self-isolate while on holiday.

Lastly, there will be a dedicated 24/7 emergency hotline and app.

TUI also announced the new raft of destinations that will be added this month.

In Greece, TUI will fly to Zakynthos from July 25.

The date will also see flights resume from Bristol Airport.

A further nine destinations will be added to the TUI programme in August.

From August 1, the airline will fly to...... Kefalonia... from the UK.

Greece passes law regulating demonstrations

Greece’s Parliament approved a bill on Thursday regulating street demonstrations as thousands marched through central Athens to denounce the new law. The law was introduced by Greece's conservative government in an attempt to regulate demonstrations which it says cause frequent disruptions to the public and affect commerce.

About 10,000 demonstrators rallied outside Parliament holding banners reading “hands off demonstrations.”
