Chinese buy up bottles of fresh air from Canada
Canadian company which started out as a joke bottling Rocky Mountains air has seen its product fly off the shelves in pollution-hit China, with first shipment selling out in four days

I've got some bottles of Kefalonian air, if anyone would like to make a bid for them

(please state whether you want summer air or winter air)

Could Lonesome George 'return' from extinction?
Lonesome George was the last surviving tortoise on Pinta Island in the Galapagos. Charles Darwin was the last scientist to see Floreana Island tortoises. But now both species could be "restored"

Support for older versions of Internet Explorer ends on January 12, 2016

Beginning January 12, 2016, only the most current version of Internet Explorer available for a supported operating system will receive technical supports and security updates. Internet Explorer 11 is the last version of Internet Explorer, and will continue to receive security updates, compatibility fixes, and technical support on Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.

As a home user, you most likely have Automatic Updates turned on, and have already upgraded to Internet Explorer 11 without having to do anything. If you haven't turned on Automatic Updates yet, do so now by clicking the Check for Updates button on the Windows Update portion of the Control Panel to get started.

Windows Vista users are not affected by this at all. Their copy of Internet Explorer 9 will remain supported until the end of life of Windows Vista on April 11, 2017.

Disgruntled Siberian city wants cat for mayor

Residents of far-flung Siberian city Barnul are so disillusioned with human politicians that they have pinned their hopes on a fluffy feline alternative

The present mayor makes the mayors of Zakinthos and Thessaloniki a few years back look positively honest - well almost!  So that the cat gets my vote - apart from his name- Barsik.   :oki:

Ah yes, Tony, but will Barsik catch and eat the city, which goes by the name of Barnaul (which must sound very similar to a wise feathered friend)...  ;)
