Bodies of German couple found in rented property on Cephalonia, double suicide suspected
Authorities are pointing to a double suicide as the cause of death of a couple, identified as German citizens, whose bodies were found in a holiday apartment in a village on the Ionian island of Cephalonia.
Foul play has been initially ruled out, according to a coroner's report.
Police said the couple, aged 30 to 35, leased the apartment via the Internet on Dec. 26, after arriving from another leased property on the island.
The pair were discovered by the owner of the apartment. No date was given as to when the deaths occurred.
The female victim was found with deep cuts on her hands and lying on a sofa, while the male victim was found in the bathroom, with deep cuts on several parts of his body.
Further tests will be conducted in the city of Patras, where the bodies will be transported to on Tuesday.
According to reports, no narcotics or hallucinatory medicines were found in the couple's possession.

According to some reports the man held a German passport, the female was Bulgarian. Other reports talk of 'black magic'. There's probably other stories circulating.

bet they dont look for anyone else or investigate further,the verdict will be as above.the post mortem will say self inflicted and yes it may be,however could you see our police wrapping up after four days and leaving it to a post mortem?just a thought.midsomer murders in kefalonia,mmmm i may be onto something.

That's a headline from the Mail (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5235669/Tourists-die-satanic-suicide-ceremony-Greece.html), which has picked up on the story but with nothing new to add except a nice Kef piccie. I'd reckon it's Valsamata, not Vlachata, but never mind, it begins with a 'B'.
Heard a Bulgarian friend of the deceased female has been interviewed by Ethnos newspaper and is firmly of the opinion she wasn't into Satanism.

One of the articles I read mentioned that the coroner had stated that the girl had evidence of earlier healed injuries. Whether a willing party to abuse or otherwise, we shall never know.
