Ryanair passengers go without toilet paper on three-hour flight from Spain to London

Quote
Ryanair passengers were left less than impressed when they were told there was no toilet paper on their three-hour flight from Spain to London.

Cabin crew made the announcement during the safety demonstration on Sunday's flight from Murcia to Stansted.

They were also told there would be no milk available during the flight either, scuppering any plans for a nice cup of tea or coffee on the journey.

Speaking to The Sun, Shaun O'Dea, 51, who spent three days in Murcia with his wife Karen, 57, said: "The stewardess was doing her safety demonstration when she said there was no toilet roll.

"Everyone had horrified looks on their faces. To be able to go to the toilet is a basic need. It really was appalling."

He added: "Paying customers expect to get a cup of tea on the flight – it's just way below standards. It ruined the end to our lovely holiday."

A Ryanair spokesman told the Daily Mail: "This very rare and regrettable stock shortage (on the last flight last Sunday evening) was caused by the failure of our handling agents in Murcia to deliver toilet rolls and milk sachets that had been ordered on the turnaround in Murcia.

"Our crew explained to passengers that we wished to prioritise an on time departure for London Stansted rather than wait for these items to be delivered and cause a significant ATC delay for all our customers.

"Our passengers were very understanding and we apologised sincerely to them for any inconvenience caused."

When we flew to UK in August last year, the plane was an hour delayed so it did an extra quick turnaround......this meant that it wasn't cleaned here, meaning that all the crisps & filth that people had dropped on the floor on the outward trip were still on the floor!
The plane was not re-supplied, so no food available apart from vastly overpriced Pot Noodles without any spoon or fork to eat them with!
Also the 'drinks trolley' hardly had any stock at all. We were looking forward to our Gin & Tonics, but alas, plenty of Gin but no tonic or bitter lemon, only dry ginger or lemonade available!!!!!!!
All the staff were Polish, all very nice people but you couldn't understand them on the microphone at all.......so we wouldn't have even known if there wasn't any toilet paper!
The return flight back to Kefalonia was OK, but we'll Never Ever fly Ryan Air again.

Interesting. Ryanair like to blow their own trumpet about the punctuality of their flights, they don't mention 'little things' like that.
