Here we go again  :)
One peregrine chick already hatched in Bath with more to come. The site has changed a bit and you might need to open in Internet Explorer

:btu: Thanks for those - I'd forgotten about the peregrines!

Seems to work OK in Firefox and Chrome, thankfully - stunning photos!

Looks nicely sheltered at Bath but Norwich bird looks at risk of being blown away.

Another year another peregrine falcon egg .

Just looked at the Hawk & Owl site and there is already one egg at the Bath site, none in Norwich but mama falcon was standing around preening and possibly on the pull  ;)

Bit of cheer after the BBC daily update, there are 4 yes 4 eggs at the Norwich site  :btu:
Not sure how many in Bath but Mum or Dad are snuggling up to the eggs.

Nature can be wonderful and just carry on it's job

Been having a look to how the chicks are getting on. The ones in Bath have lost almost all of their white fluff apart from legs & a topknot, the ones in Norwich are still pretty much all white still.
Still 4 in each and huge, not a lot of room in the nesting box when they're feeding.

The peregrine falcons in Norwich have been ignoring the restrictions  ;) though I guess they could be classed as a household

One egg so far in Norwich. I saw Mum tearing apart her breakfast this morning, wasn't sure what was on the
menu but it didn't look like a bird.

No eggs yet in Bath though I did see an adult making up the brooding bed a few weeks ago.

Wakefield Peregrine Falcon's chicks hatch after being watched across globe

The world-famous Wakefield peregrine falcon's first chicks hatched last night after people from around the globe have tuned in to watch them on a special webcam.

The peregrines nested in the spire of the cathedral earlier this year and people from as far away as Australia and Argentina have been waiting for the pair's eggs to hatch.

The birds usually nest on cliff edges, however, experts say that they love the cathedrals because of the height of the building.

Managed to catch seeing Dad in Norwich feeding chick(s) and Mum, couldn't see how many have hatched as Mum was
over them.

Cameras placed across Derbyshire locations to protect peregrine falcon nesting sites
A number of Peregrine Falcon nesting sites across Derbyshire are being monitored to help protect their eggs from thieves.

Cameras have been placed to watch the eggs as they get close to hatching, a time when they are at their most vulnerable.

They have been provided by a number of different organisations, all who are keen to protect the species and keep them safe.

Despite being a legally protected species, peregrines are at risk from thieves who can sell on falcon eggs, who take young chicks to train for falconry or worried about their impact on other birds or species.

There are in fact 4 chicks at Norwich, though one is a real tiddler
The chick bottom left in this pic is attempting to swallow a pigeon's lower leg and claw, whole!
