Kiosks, mini markets to close at midnight in Attica

Kiosks, mini markets and liquor stores will have to close at midnight in Attica and other regions where the number of coronavirus infections remains high, Deputy Civil Protection Minister Nikos Hardalias announced on Friday.

The new directive excludes pharmacies and gas stations.

The midnight to 5 a.m. closure will begin on Saturday and last until October 4, he said.

TUI extends local season deep into fall

Greece is the number 1 destination of TUI customers to date this year, and the German tour operator intends to enhance its relationship with Greece through what it expects will be a better season in 2021

The main conclusions of the meeting were that most TUI customers picked Greece this year, with a significant increase in the country’s share among its clientele, while the growth in demand has helped extend the tourism season into the fall, with TUI now set to keep bringing tourists over to Greece until end-November.

Apparently demand in the UK has tailed off, possibly due to new coronavirus restrictions - or concerns about what new measures might be coming.
