Any runners out there...
The 4th Round Race of Kefalonia is taking place on October 3rd, 2015. Kefalonia, the largest island of the Ionian Sea, distinguishes for the wild natural beauty and the impressive scenery alterations of mountain and sea. This running event is a great opportunity to discover this wonderful, full of interesting contrasts, landscape of the island in one of the most scenic routes.
The event is co-organized by the Runners Club of Kefalonia and the municipality of Kefalonia and is also supported by local agencies. There are three individual races: a 32km and a 5km route for adults and a 500m race for children. The departure point of the race is Argostoli and the finish line is Lixouri Square, therefore the run is connecting the two largest towns of the island.

That would be wonderful Bluenose! The Island Council have donated a building in Argostoli for an animal surgery. We are currently trying to raise funds for repairs and equipment. Any donations would be most welcome by Paypal here... http://kefalonia-animal-trust.org/Article.aspx?articleId=120

Valeriano 8.3 km race completed in 56 minutes. Why do they organise these races in August when the temperature is around 30c? Anyway, I survived and thank you to anyone that donated toward the new animal surgery.
