New hope for world's rarest feline with discovery of two Scottish wildcat kittens
The world's rarest cat has received an unexpected population boost after two orphaned kittens were discovered in Scotland.
Just 35 Scottish wildcats were thought to remain in the wild in Britain, and the sub-species is in danger of dying out because the animals often breed with feral domesticated cats, creating hybrids.
But the conservation group Wildcat Haven has rescued two weak and dehydrated kittens which were spotted and photographed by a member of the public in the east highlands.
It is likely the pair would not have survived on their own without their mother

Tourism in Greece Drives Car Fuel Prices up to €2 per Liter
http://greece.greekreporter.com/2018/07/17/tourism-in-greece-drives-car-fuel-prices-up-to-e2-per-liter/
The article doesn't explain the economics behind the headline suggestion "tourism...drives up fuel prices"
In any normal market, increased demand with a plentiful supply and multiple outlets would drive prices Down
It couldn't possibly be the fact fuel prices are increasing because sales outlets are taking advantage of a captive temporary market - could it?
-
In any normal market
Welcome to Greece!
A few years back the number of tourists visiting Greece dropped significantly. Did hoteliers, taverna owners, etc, lower prices to encourage more visitors? No, they increased prices to (hopefully) continue making their normal profits.
In most (European) countries austerity has driven down various costs, inc. food. Not in Greece, where food prices have risen.
Greek fuel prices in tourist areas usually creep up in summer. Locals just hope prices fall back down when they've gone.

Greece Joins Member States in Ratifying Istanbul Convention
Every EU member state has signed the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence. But as of March, nearly a dozen nations had failed to ratify what has become a controversial treaty. This summer Greece joined the ranks of member states supporting the enforcement of this important convention.

"The Convention was... signed by the EU in June 2017 in Istanbul, hence its name." European Union... Istanbul...
