Brexit and travel: Everything you need to know with 100 days to go
Everything that we know, what we think we know and what we don’t know about how leaving the EU will affect British travellers

Deal or no deal, Brexit will have far-reaching effects on British travellers to Europe. The Independent assesses everything that we know, what we think we know and what we don’t know.

You are welcome to check and challenge our sources and analysis; unlike some articles on Brexit and travel, we have provided links to the official source for each aspect. Predictions and speculation are clearly indicated.

Thanks Maik. Excellent article by everyone's fave travel guru, Simon Calder, despite the annoying Indie ads.  Should be required reading. No clarity at all about EHIC cards - aaaaargh! Calder suggests that as far as travel is concerned we are "giving back control to the EU"!!

Good general guide but I think we have more and better info in the IDP thread. Interesting article on the Independent today:

Quote
Thousands of flights would be cancelled by no-deal Brexit as departures capped at 2018 levels
Exclusive: Europe says no country can increase flights to and from the UK, even though many more are promised

Disappointed passengers who thought they had firm bookings to Spain, Portugal, Italy, Croatia, Greece and other destinations could find their tickets cancelled. While the cost would be automatically refunded, they would then need to compete for scarce seats and could face higher fares.

Brexit: How will it affect my holidays to Europe?

While political uncertainty remains over Brexit, life must go on as normal for British families - and that includes making plans for holidays.

Worth reading but some of it is still in "best guess" territory, I suspect.  E.g. no deal = no EHIC and no pets passports.

Greece Braces for Tourism Hit From No-Deal Brexit

Greece is getting ready for a no-deal Brexit, focusing on measures that will allow Britons to continue to visit and live in the country as they currently do.

Can't be sure how accurate any of this is, still in best guess territory IMO.
