Unified Property Tax

In the summer about 5 million households will pay for the new Unified Property Tax, which has replaced the property tax included in the DEI’s bill and the general property tax.

According to the “Ethnos” newspaper, the calculation of the new tax on properties will be based on the data submitted by the property owners on Tax Form E9.

Those whose assets have been changed in 2013 or those who have undeclared arbitrary locations or buildings that are exempt from Unified Property Tax should submit electronically the E9 form until 30 May 2014.

The winners and losers of the new property tax

Those who own properties with less than 300,000 euros value are concidered to be favored since the new tax will cause reductions in their tax burden. However, those who have medium value of real estate property will be called to pay more taxes.
