Based on National Bank of Greece exchange rates.
Other banks likely to offer rates which may be marginally higher or lower.
Banks and foreign exchange offices normally charge standard 2% commission.
You may get a better rate changing your holiday money in advance at e.g. the Post Office (https://www.postoffice.co.uk/travel-money).
NB: some f-ex agencies advertise "No Commission".
Invariably, they deduct commission before they (don't) advertise the rate.

Millions of pensioners face bank account inspections in fraud crackdown plans
Pensioners could have their bank accounts inspected by the Government under new powers being considered to thwart benefit fraud.
Concerns have been raised by senior MPs that the proposed legislation, which would cover all social security payments including the state pension, is a “step too far” that could pave the way for snooping.
The plans, which are part of the data protection and digital information bill, will involve banks handing over customer data to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) if it signals that a claimant may not meet the eligibility criteria for the benefit they are receiving. DWP figures suggest an estimated £8bn a year is lost to fraud and overpayment.

Yet again we have the UK State Pension being referred to as a Benefit
But back to the point in hand, surely anyone committing fraud against the DWP would know which banks would not be checked by DWP
Purely out of curiosity, here's a list of banks that will automatically forward client details to DWP
Bank of Scotland
Barclays Bank
Halifax
HSBC
Lloyds Bank
Metro Bank
Monzo Bank Limited
National Westminster Bank (NATWEST)
Nationwide Building Society
Santander
Starling Bank
The Co-Operative Bank
The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS)
TSB Bank
Yorkshire Bank

"...While no overpayments of the state pension have been linked to fraud, £100m was overpaid in the state pension partly due to people claiming who live abroad and are not entitled to payment increases under the pensions triple lock.
Only those who live in the European Economic Area, Gibraltar, Switzerland and countries with a social security agreement with Britain can receive pension increases..."

Yeah, I thought that was a bit naughty.

expat, I think all benefits are paid into bank accounts these days, I doubt many benefits fiddlers make a huge fortune from it, rather it's lots of fiddlers fiddling a bit extra (JMO).
The new site? Not GGi, it's the same as was. Any recent problems viewing the site as it's intended seem to be caused by Google Chrome / Chromium based browsers such as Opera, see this topic started by BeeTee: GoingGreek in Chrome (http://goinggreek.info/index.php?topic=6947.0).
You can try knocking the 's' off https:// - it may work, seems to depend on the which Chrome-based browser you're using. Otherwise use a Firefox based browser, even if it's just for GGi.

Good luck making sense of that (but I'm sure they had a great time doing the research).

OK, I've just installed Opera for a try out. If you save the URL as http://goinggreek.info (rather than https://) it works as intended - well, it does for me, anyway... the images show up and youtube videos show on GGi:

Got it Mike! :yiamas: thanks for the help, removed the bookmark and reset it

This is from Opera although I think it's the same in most Chromium based browsers. In Opera you may need to type opera://settings/security in the address/URL bar and then check the option "Always use secure connections" is disabled.

Edit: if it works OK without disabling that secure connections setting I'd leave it enabled.

Digital platform to shield Greece from fake news
Seeking to combat the spread of lies about the country, the ministries of Foreign Affairs and Digital Governance are reportedly preparing to launch a new digital platform that will use AI to identify false news harming the country’s interests and take the appropriate steps to refute it.
What is different is that the AI to be deployed not only recognizes keywords, as it did with older forms of technology, but now perceives entire meanings. This way it will be able to check the veracity of information in a more comprehensive manner.
