Greece to open up wreck of Titanic’s sister ship to diversDivers will be able to visit the sister ship of the Titanic under plans to ease restrictions on some of Europe’s most coveted underwater wrecks.The Britannic, which was requisitioned and converted from a liner into a British hospital ship in the First World War and sank after hitting a mine in the Aegean, will be opened to recreational divers under proposals from the new Greek government.Under the legislation, to be voted on next month, divers will be permitted to visit ships, submarines or planes that sank in Greek waters between 1860 and 1970, relaxing tight restrictions designed to protect ancient wrecks from being looted for antiquities.
BBC licence fee to rise by £3 from AprilThe cost of the annual television licence fee will increase by £3, from £154.50 to £157.50, from 1 April 2020.The new fee works out at £3.02 per week, or £13.13 per month, and pays for BBC services including nine national TV channels, 10 national radio stations plus local radio and websites, as well as the BBC Sounds app and BBC iPlayer.

High-flying banker thought to be earning £1m suspended for stealing food from Canary Wharf canteenA top City banker reportedly on £1m a year has been suspended for allegedly stealing food from the office canteen. Paras Shah, one of Citigroup's most senior traders in Europe, has left his post over the alleged theft from the Wall Street bank's Canary Wharf office, the Financial Times reported. Sources said the office canteen is "not exactly expensive". Mr Shah is understood to have stolen food on multiple occasions.
