Change
the default 'new tab' page By default, opening a new tab page will display visited web pages. This can be easily changed so that a new tab page will open e.g. a Google search page. In the Firefox browser address bar type: about:config > promise to be careful! > type browser.newtab.url in the search bar > under Preference Name double-click on browser.newtab.url > change string value to e.g. https://www.google.co.uk > OK Disabled in Firefox 41 on, to restore that functionality use New Tab Override from https://addons.mozilla.org/ |
