Today’s bank rates:
1 €UR = £0.9091 GBP
1 €UR = $1.0904 USD
£1 GBP = 1.1000 €UR
$1 USD = 0.9171 €UR

Based on Alpha Bank exchange rates, these are widely used by exchange agencies in Greece.
Other banks likely to offer a different rate which may be marginally higher or lower.
Banks and foreign exchange offices normally charge standard 2% commission.
You may get a better rate changing your holiday money in advance at e.g the Post Office (https://www.postoffice.co.uk/travel-money).
NB: some f-ex agencies advertise "No Commission".
Invariably, they deduct commission before they (don't) advertise the rate.
Foreign exchange offices are businesses, not charities.

Sounds as though there's been a bomb threat to the Fior di Levante ferry, last I heard it's confined to Kyllini port.

Britons to be sent ‘danger to life’ text alerts in national security test

People across the country will soon see “danger to life” alerts popping up on their phone screens as part of a UK-wide national security test.

Warning texts will be sent to millions of devices, setting off an alarm, as the government puts its new emergency system to the test.

The new measure has been established to warn the public of potentially life-threatening situations nearby, with the first round of tests set to focus on flooding and other extreme weather events.

The sounding of an alarm will be accompanied by a set of details outlining the emergency and advice on what to do and how to seek help.

No plans to change law blocking Elgin Marbles from being given to Greece – Sunak

Rishi Sunak has said there are “no plans” to change a law which blocks the Elgin Marbles from being given to Greece.

The Prime Minister said the UK had “cared for” the sculptures in the British Museum for generations and they were “shared with the world” at the London site.

Could be "shared with the world" in Athens.

Gary Glitter recalled to prison just weeks after paedophile pop star’s release

Gary Glitter has been sent back to prison after breaching his licence conditions, the Probation Service has said, just weeks after the paedophile pop star was freed from jail.

The disgraced 78-year-old was released from Dorset’s HMP The Verne in February after serving just half of his 16-year sentence for sexually abusing three young girls.

But footage filmed by another prisoner at his bail hostel emerged this weekend showing Glitter – whose real name is Paul Gadd – using a smartphone and talking about accessing the dark web, which allows users to access illegal and violent content.
