Looking forward to seeing her at Pickering in March on the North Yorks Railway between Pickering and Whitby. Sadly all the tickets have been sold for a ride but we shall ride out into the moors to see her and hopefully get a few photos. I have a soft spot for this old one as my Granddad drove her many moons ago!! Hopefully it might make it to our local depot -The Roundhouse ,at Barrow hill Chesterfield on their open day later in the summer.
Great to see Flying Scotsman steaming again.From my trainspotting days, I have a record from 1958 of being on trains pulled by A3's Tagalie and Flying Scotsman, when they were in British Railways service.Flying Scotsman was on shed at Kings Cross at that time, so I would have seen it many times on my weekend visits to the shed.Where's my duffle coat?
