Today’s bank rates:
1 €UR = £0.9078 GBP
1 €UR = $1.0935 USD
£1 GBP = 1.1016 €UR
$1 USD = 0.9145 €UR

Based on Alpha Bank exchange rates, these are widely used by exchange agencies in Greece.
Other banks likely to offer a different rate which may be marginally higher or lower.
Banks and foreign exchange offices normally charge standard 2% commission.
You may get a better rate changing your holiday money in advance at e.g the
Post Office.
NB: some f-ex agencies advertise "No Commission".
Invariably, they deduct commission before they (don't) advertise the rate.
Foreign exchange offices are businesses, not charities.

South Park: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s US approval rating drops below Prince Andrew after parody episode
The Duke and Duchess’s approval ratings now stand at -10 and -17, respectively

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s approval ratings in the US took a tumble after South Park aired a parody of the royal couple.

In the controversial recent episode of the adult animated series, the Duke and Duchess are mocked with a series of jokes that some viewers described as “brutal”.

The Flying Scotsman entered service for LNER 100 years ago today. In 1934, Scotsman was clocked at 100mph, the first locomotive in the UK to reach that speed.

The swimming fee will be in force between April 29 to May 28 during the early hours of every weekend

The open-water swimming pilot will start in the Spring in Bristol Harbour - with lifeguards, safety vessels and water testing on hand.

It will be held every Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 10am, from April 29 until May 28. Officials say 80 people will be permitted to take part - all booked in advance online.

Forty years of Monster Raving Loony wannabe MPs

It's 40 years since the Official Monster Raving Loony Party fielded its first candidate in a parliamentary election. Since then no election count has been complete without a garishly-dressed, garishly-named member of the party standing alongside other hopefuls.

David Sutch - or Screaming Lord Sutch as he later became known - began standing in elections in the 1960s, partly as a way of publicising his music.

But in 1983, he stood for the newly-formed Official Monster Raving Loony Party.

In 2000, the government introduced passports for pets - a long-standing policy of the Monster Raving Loony Party.

Throughout the 1980s, the party campaigned for pubs to remain open during the day, rather than shutting in the afternoons - and this came into force in 2005.

This success at formulating future laws, has led Howling Laud Hope to describe his party as the official think tank of Parliament.

"If you want tomorrow's policies, vote for us today," he told the BBC in 2017.

Recently, the party announced that, once in government, it would give atheism charitable status because it is a "non-prophet organisation".
